While Ecuador is cheap in many ways, it is expensive in all things imported. Things can get complicated delivering things to Ecuador, but I hope this guide helps.
There are three main ways that I recommend getting things to Ecuador from abroad.
Mule it over- There are Facebook pages, like 'Ecuador Mule Forum' where people who travel back and forth to the US (mainly) but other countries as well, that offer to bring something back for you. Prices normally are per pound or if it is an electronic, then there is normally a different set price. I have used this service a few times. Different people charge different rates, so message a few people. Someone was going to charge me $20 to bring a 2 page document back which I felt like was slightly ridiculous but I looked around and found someone who would charge $10. The nice thing about this is that things get delivered quicker and I think it is a little more trustworthy (obviously make sure that the person is known in the FB group before just going with a random person, or stalk their FB profile lol)
DHL- This is a company that is probably the most reliable as far as big companies go. I've had several friends who have had a lot of success with DHL. I think it will be a little more expensive than using a person to mule your things, but if you prefer to work with a reliable company, this is your go to.
Wait for someone to visit- This is how I have gotten a lot of different things to me. If I know someone is coming to visit me, I will pay for their extra suitcase and ship things to their house. Remember there is an embargo bringing bags into Ecuador so there is a max of two checked bags per person.
I hope this guide helps you get whatever you may be looking for, to Ecuador!
